Cabals: The Card Game - the first season is coming to an end

First season complete

On the coming Friday the 13th, Cabals has been out for almost five months. During this seemingly short period of time a lot has happened. In November the game was released on four different platforms, and in a few months its content has almost been doubled with 24 new cards, four new maps and various enhancements throughout the game. Tournaments have been arranged by both the developers and the community. Prizes are on their way to the winners.

Kyy Games has interacted closely with the community. Our goal is to keep improving the game with the help of feedback from the players. The Cabals forum has been a particularly productive medium in this regard and we continue to read every message we receive through the forum, email and instant feedback.

Resetting the leaderboard

The next step is to reset the leaderboard. The scoring system has been changed during the development of Cabals and that has given the early players an advantage to reach higher rating. The main purpose of the ladder system is to match the players with opponents of their own level. It should be more challenging and fun to play against equally experienced players. Our new point rewarding system is better because it enables players to achieve their own skill level faster. We will be keeping a close eye on the rating system and tune it if necessary.

The second season starts with a tournament. Everybody is welcome to participate in this weeklong battle of wits. Check the forum for more information.

We are developing Cabals full steam ahead

The Kyy Games developers' bag is full of ideas and features for the second season. We will be announcing them in due time. The key topics that we'll focus on during season two will be the social, rewarding and competing elements of the game. The first major expansion of Cabals is under development and will be released during summer 2012. More details will be released soon.
